The master is no longer alive. The dog waited for its beloved owner, not for one or two days, but for 10 straight years. A dog named 'Hachiko' from Japan set such a unique example for the entire world. No other animal on earth is as devoted to its master as a dog. Many families consider dogs as members of their household.

Usually, any kind of food is given to pet dogs at home. Dogs also like to share meals. Until you give them a piece of your food, your pet will keep looking at you with pitiful eyes.

This way, unknowingly, you are bringing darkness into the lives of our best friends. Actually, certain foods may be fine for humans but are not healthy for dogs. Sometimes, unhealthy food can even be fatal for your pet.

Here is a list of foods you should keep away from your pet

The first food that should be kept out of your pet's reach is ice cream. Ice cream contains so much sweetness that consumption of it can cause physical harm to your pet.

Sometimes, sweet lactose-based foods are not digested properly, which can even cause vomiting in dogs. Feeding excessive amounts of ice cream can also cause your pet's liver to fail.

Next on the list is chips. Chips contain excessive salt, which can cause poisoning in a dog's body. Also, eating this food can cause problems like dehydration in your pet. The fat in chips increases the risk of pancreatitis.

Dairy foods need to be kept away from dogs. Actually, drinking too much milk can cause stomach problems in dogs. Problems ranging from stomach pain to diarrhoea can occur.

Keep any type of chocolate far away from dogs. Chocolate contains theobromine, which has a severe impact on a dog's nervous system and heart. Even eating a small amount can cause vomiting and heart failure.

Eating cookies or biscuit-type foods can harm your pet's body. This is because they also contain excessive sweetness. Since sugar contains fat, eating too much of it can cause problems like pancreatitis and weight gain.
