OpenAI has launched a new budget-friendly subscription plan, ChatGPT Go at Rs 399 per month, for Indian users. According to The Indian Express, the plan is intended to make advanced AI functionality more available to students, freelancers, and part-time professionals who need something more than the base level but not all the capability of the premium Plus plan.

ChatGPT Go is a low-cost upgrade to free

ChatGPT Go users have access to the lead GPT-5 model, improved memory, and sophisticated tools such as data analysis, uploading files, and generating images seamlessly. The subscription also allows one to use it in WhatsApp and the ChatGPT mobile application, providing convenience for users who wish to embed AI into routine tasks without spending much.

ChatGPT Plus is loaded with premium tools and integrations

For heavy users, The Indian Express highlights that ChatGPT Plus, at Rs 1,999 per month, unlocks a richer toolset. It includes Deep Research, Agent Mode for complex projects, and Sora, OpenAI’s text-to-video AI. Plus subscribers will also get benefits from integrations with Gmail, Teams, Notion, GitHub, and Canva, along with higher usage limits that ensure uninterrupted access for professionals and enterprises.

In the meantime, the free option is still generous enough for light users. It features GPT-5 with certain limitations, in addition to the likes of generating images, Voice assistance and real-time web browsing. While limited, it is still a solid introduction for those exploring the possibilities of AI.

It all depends on the usage in the end. Free is good for casual curiosity, ChatGPT Go is good for reasonable prices, and ChatGPT Plus is the best option for professional works that are fast paced.
