With a special IRCTC tour package, peple of Kolkata now have a rare chance to see historic sites and Japan's renowned cherry blossom festival. Highlights of the tour include the Renkō-ji temple, which is particularly significant because it is thought to contain Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's ashes. Visitors will have a unique opportunity to see this hallowed location up close.

The festival features rows of cherry trees in full bloom, a sight that attracts thousands each year. IRCTC is launching its nine-day ‘Cherry Blossom Delight’ tour from Kolkata for the first time in March, coinciding with the Durga Puja holidays. Participants will also get to ride Japan’s bullet trains.

The tour includes a visit to Hiroshima, where travelers will explore the ‘Atomic Bomb Museum’ and learn about the devastation caused by the bomb.

IRCTC has divided the package into different segments. The ‘Tokyo Exploration’ segment that includes visits to Imperial Palace, Ueno Park for the cherry blossom festival, TeamLab Art Museum, and Tokyo Skytree. The ‘Cultural Encounter’ segment features historic sites such as Renkō-ji, Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), and Fushimi Inari Shrine.

Additionally, visitors can take a cruise on Japan's renowned Lake Ashi, see Mount Fuji, and explore the bamboo groves of Arashiyama Forest. During the tour, foodies will get to try real Japanese food.
