The iconic Harley-Davidson Street Bob has re-entered India with a massive price of ₹18.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The cruiser has made a comeback with an array of updates to appease the performance enthusiasts as well as tech-savvy riders.
Power-Packed Engine
At the heart of the bike is the Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin powerplant. The 1,923-cc engine produces 91 bhp at 5,020 rpm and an astonishing 156 Nm of torque at 2,750 rpm. With doubled six-speed transmission, it provides smooth low-speed delivery along with easy high-speed cruising, ideal for long highway cruising.
Advanced Features
The updated Street Bob comes with modern rider aids and electronics. It boasts three riding modes: Sport, Road, and Rain, to allow riders to tailor to conditions. Safety encompasses cornering ABS, traction control, drag-torque slip control, and cruise control.
The semi-analogue instrument cluster displays gear position, trip info, and fuel range, while convenience is bolstered by USB charging, Bluetooth navigation, and a Tyre-pressure monitoring system.
Classic Design with Modern Touch
With the advancement in technology, the Street Bob retains its classic bobber styling. The teardrop tank, fender curves, and ape-hanger high bars are a testament to Harley's heritage DNA. Amazingly, despite having a robust engine, the bike is among the lightest Softail 117 motorcycles globally, and it is unexpectedly easy to ride.
Colours and Custom Options
These premium colors will cost extra, and the customer can opt for the base color Billiard Gray or move to premium colors like Vivid Black, Centerline, Iron Horse Metallic, and Purple Abyss Denial at extra cost. Harley also offers heritage-style wire-spoke wheels as an upgrade for ₹87,000.
Harley-Davidson Street Bob marries the panache of age with a cocktail of rider-friendly technology and hard-nosed power. Harley arguably has one of the richest lineups in its Indian brand, with the comeback making it an able, but also practical addition to today's machine.
