Made halwa with carrots? Now try it with pumpkin- here’s the recipe

There will be a gathering of guests at home on the occasion of Diwali. So, there is a plan to make sweets at home. Halwa is a very familiar dish. However, the method of making it is different.

Sweets are always served at home during festivals. But on special days, it's a good idea to make this type of dish yourself. There will be a gathering of guests at home on the occasion of Diwali. So, there is a plan to make sweets. A very familiar dish, but its ingredients are completely different. Earlier, halwa was made with semolina and carrots.

Now, let's make with pumpkin. Here is the recipe.

What do you need?

Pumpkin: 3 cups

Sugar: 1 cup

Ghee: 1 tablespoon

Milk: 1 cup

Salt: a pinch

Condensed milk: 1 cup

Small cardamom powder: half a teaspoon

Cashews: 2 tablespoons

Pistachios: 2 tablespoons

Almonds: 2 tablespoons

Saffron: a pinch

How to make it?

First, peel the pumpkin, wash it well, and grate it. Then heat ghee in a pan and fry all types of chopped nuts. Now add the grated pumpkin. Fry that grated pumpkin with a pinch of salt for five minutes and cover the pan.

When the pumpkin is cooked, add milk and sugar. If the milk becomes thick, you can add a little water. Keep stirring until the pumpkin is completely cooked. Now add the condensed milk and mix everything well. Before serving, sprinkle some cardamom powder and roasted nuts and you're done. It will also look nice if you sprinkle saffron on top before serving.

Halwa is not suggested to eat hot. Keep it in the refrigerator and serve it cold to friends and relatives.
