The most important meal of the day is breakfast. While everyone knows this, many don't follow what needs to be done for it. From doctors to nutritionists, everyone's opinion is that the first meal of the morning is most important for supplying the body with necessary nutrients. Although a lot of people in this Gen Z generation have a tendency to stay fit. For that reason, instead of unhealthy, oil-soaked kachuri or paratha for breakfast, many are choosing healthy alternatives. Some are choosing oats, some are eating chila. Again, some prefer smoothies.

You'll be shocked to hear that much of what you've been eating all this time, as a healthy low-fat breakfast, is not even suitable for breakfast consumption. This includes oats and chila as well. At least that's what Siddharth Singh, fitness coach of Bollywood star actress Tamannaah Bhatia, claims.

What are these 3 foods?

Making gram flour chila is as easy as it is delicious to eat. Although Siddharth says that, while this food is healthy otherwise, one problem has been flagged for a lot of times. In most cases, it becomes difficult to keep track of how much protein is in gram flour chila. He believes that gram flour chila generally doesn't contain the necessary protein. Moreover, if chila is fried in ghee or oil while making it, it becomes crispy, but at the same time, the fat content increases.

Plain oats are the first choice of many health-conscious people. According to Siddharth, it's true that this food is healthy. Oats are a good source of carbs. But it has virtually no protein content. So if protein-rich foods are not eaten along with it, the body doesn't get its necessary energy. Energy decreases, and one may feel hungry again shortly after.

Fruits are undoubtedly beneficial for the body at any time. The problem is that if you eat only fruits for breakfast, your blood sugar can suddenly increase due to the natural sugar in fruits. Often, energy suddenly increases due to the effect of that sugar. But it doesn't last. The stomach doesn't stay full for long. Hunger strikes quickly, leading to a tendency to overeat. So fruits can certainly be part of breakfast, but if they constitute the entire breakfast, there's trouble.

According to Siddharth, these 3 foods don't need to be completely removed from the breakfast list. Rather, the menu needs to be such that there's a balance among carbohydrates, protein, and minerals. Only then can the body get its necessary energy.

To maintain protein supply in the body, you can avoid gram flour chila and instead have Greek yoghurt with one scoop of protein powder for breakfast. Instead of completely avoiding oats, you can eat them mixed with Greek yoghurt. You can include one or two boiled eggs along with it. This maintains the balance of carbohydrates and protein. If there are a few pieces of fruit at the end, there's nothing more to say.
