Many are planning weddings in advance and eagerly waiting to know the favourable days of their weddings. When exactly are the wedding "muhurats" (auspicious times)? Let's find out.

The beginning of the year 2026 starts with Kharmaas. Kharmaas is a month when Hindus normally avoid occasions such as engagements, weddings, and housewarming. Kharmaas ends on 15 January 2026.

Thereafter, Kharmaas will restart from 14 March 2026, when the Sun will enter Pisces, and will end on 13 April 2026. Marriage during this period is also not considered auspicious.

After this, the marriage season will start and continue till Chaturmas.

Chaturmas starts on Devshayani Ekadashi and ends on Dev Uthani Ekadashi. In 2026, Devshayani Ekadashi falls on 25 July, and Dev Uthani Ekadashi falls on 20 November. No auspicious events are performed during this period of time.
