The Tata Sierra will be the first of seven new labels to be launched by 2030. Its production is expected to begin in early 2026, followed by a market introduction in March. The SUV will have the brand's fresh 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, which will power the lower-level models. Higher trims are expected to have a 1.5L turbo petrol engine later on, and a diesel option will also be available. The Sierra EV, which will be introduced before the ICE version, will use the Harrier EV's powertrain. The Sierra model will have a number of high-end amenities, such as Level 2 ADAS, triple screen arrangement, ambient lighting, a Harman sound system, 360-degree cameras, ventilated front seats, and more, just like the current generation Tata vehicles.

Tata will launch a brand-new sub-4-metre leisure SUV called the Tata Scarlet (codename). The Scarlet, also known as the "Mini Sierra," will utilize a few design elements from the Sierra, including its boxy stance. It is expected to arrive during the holiday season in the second half of 2026.

This new compact SUV is expected to be built on a single-piece chassis and use a multi-powertrain concept. According to media rumors, the Tata Scarlet might be paired with the Nexon's 120bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol, an all-new 1.5L petrol, or the Curvv's 125bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol engine. A diesel engine could be in the cards. Tata could launch an all-electric Scarlet with a battery pack and dual electric motors.

Tata intends to strengthen its SUV collection in the premium and compact markets by launching the Sierra and Mini Sierra in 2026. These SUVs, which combine modern design, smart technology, and versatile powertrains (including electric alternatives), exemplify Tata's vision of innovation, luxury, and urban-friendly performance, setting new standards for Indian shoppers.
