What's in here?
There are mountains all around, and the Reilly River flows through them. If you walk a little further away, you will see a real fountain. A natural swimming pool has been built where the water is falling from above. If you want, you can also take a bath in this spring water. And if you want to float in the river, there is also a chance of that. There’s a bridge located between two hills in the middle of the valley. Throughout the day, you can cross the bridge as many times as you want. There are no obstacles. If you have time, you can visit from here. There is also a house dedicated to Rabindranath Tagore.
How to go?
Reach at New Jalpaiguri station by train from Sealdah. From there, you have to come to Kalimpong by a rental car. The distance from Kalimpong to Bidyam is only 17 km. If the budget is low, there is also the option of a shared car. Apart from this, from Bagdogra you can rent a car and reach there.
Homestay is the best way to stay. On the banks of the Raleigh River, there are small and large homestays with a few families around the valley. However, if you do not book in advance, it is difficult to find a place to stay.
All the expenses here will have to be covered by feeding and lodging. It will cost Rs 1200 to Rs 1500 per head. The cost of travelling is different.
