White sneakers are that gem that seamlessly complements almost every outfit, from jeans and shorts to sarees and salwar suits. While you may not have invested in new sneakers for the Puja festivities, fear not! You can still make a style statement with your old pair.

The key idea lies in knowing the tricks to rejuvenate your worn sneakers. Maintaining the brilliance of white sneakers is no small feat.

So, let's delve into the methods of transforming your old sneakers into seemingly new ones.

Not all sneakers are created equal in terms of materials. Consequently, each pair requires a unique cleaning approach. For canvas and mesh shoes, a gentle scrubbing suffices. You can lightly rub away stains with a brush and rinse with water. However, this method is unsuitable for synthetic leather. In such cases, stick to using water alone.

You can remove the laces and wash them separately in soapy water. This treatment, however, should not be extended to the shoes themselves. Begin by dusting off the sneakers thoroughly. Then, use a soft brush or dry cloth to wipe away any remaining dirt.

If the white sneakers are left unused for extended periods often accumulate stubborn stains. To tackle these persistent marks, prepare a paste using baking soda and vinegar in a container. Apply this mixture to the sneakers using a soft brush or toothbrush, gently scrubbing the surface. Afterwards, wipe the shoes clean with a damp cloth. Resist the temptation to submerge the sneakers in water.

On overcast days, refrain from leaving your sneakers out in the sun. A sudden downpour could undo all your hard work and potentially damage the shoes. Instead, wait for strong sunlight to dry your sneakers thoroughly. This process will make them look remarkably new. Once the sneakers are completely dry, you may apply a protector spray. This final touch will give your old sneakers a fresh, glossy appearance.
