Pat Cummins, the Australian captain who made the Ahmedabad crowd silent in the 2023 World Cup, has made a combined XI of retired players of India and Australia. The Australian captain has to sit out for the India series, as he has been suffering from a back injury for a long time. The Australian player is also uncertain for the Ashes series. He has not hesitated to make things entertaining with comments and give some friendly banter in the promotions leading up to the series against India.

Pat Cummins expressed his disgust about missing out on the series.“Virat and Rohit have been part of almost every Indian side for the last 15 years, so this might be the last chance for the Australian public to see them playing out here. They've obviously been champions of the game for India and are always very well supported. Whenever we play them, the crowd gets loud," Cummins told JioHotstar recently.

During a promo shoot for Star Sports, Cummins was asked to name his all-time India vs Australia all time combined XI. He has placed only three Indian players in the team.
