According to the latest rankings, Rohit Sharma's rating points stand at 781, which has taken him to the top. He has surpassed Gill and Ibrahim Zadran. On the other hand, Shubman Gill has dropped directly from number one to three.

In the ODI series against Australia, Rohit Sharma scored the most runs, surpassing all batsmen. Although he failed to score runs in the first match, he scored a half-century in the second match and scored a century in the final match to bring victory to the team. He scored 202 runs in the series with an average of 101. This performance has placed him on the throne of the world's number one ODI batsman. Notably, Rohit Sharma achieved this position for the first time in his career.

Rohit Sharma is the fifth Indian batsman to reach the number one position in ODI rankings. Sachin Tendulkar was the first to achieve this feat.
