A bizarre run-out took place in the tri-nation one-day series opener, in which Ruturaj Gaikwad and Priyansh Arya were involved, leaving the Punjab Kings smasher return into the pavilion. The case happened in the 13th over of the game when Ruturaj and Priyansh were trying to strengthen the pillar of the innings following the early departure of India A openers Vaibhav Sooryabhanshi and Prabhsimran Singh. Ruturaj played the last delivery of Ravindu Fernando towards long off, and when returning for the doubles, Priyansh Arya hesitated to run; in the end, both batters ended up on the same pitch, and Priyansh failed to cross the line on time as Arya’s bat got stuck under the shoe of wicket-keeper Niroshan Dickwella, who was attempting to collect the ball.
