Sunday, 21 September: Earlier this month Apple launched its flagship iPhone 17 for 2025. Since the launch of its latest model iPhone 16 has seen a drastic price cut as it was last year's flagship from the Cupertino company. So this festive season, multiple e-commerce platforms are selling last year's flagship iPhone at a heavy discount.

The same could be seen in the ongoing Flipkart's Big Billion Days sale. Similarly, Amazon is also kicking off its Great Indian Festival sale, where various iPhone models have seen a slash in their price, seemingly becoming more affordable than last year's launch price.

During last year's Made by Apple event, iPhone 16 was introduced at a price of 1 lakh 19 thousand 999 rupees in the Indian market. During the Big Billion Days sale, this phone is available on Flipkart for just 74 thousand 900 rupees. In other words, this iPhone model is being offered at a discount of nearly 45 thousand rupees. Additionally, the e-commerce site features various bank offers and cashback deals. Through these, this iPhone could be available at an even lower price.

It's not just the iPhone 16 Pro; the price of the iPhone 16 has also decreased significantly. At the time of its launch last year, this iPhone was priced at 79 thousand 999 rupees. After the iPhone 17 launch, it's available in the Apple Store itself at a 10-thousand-rupee discount, i.e., 69 thousand 999 rupees. On Flipkart, it's available at an even lower price. During the Big Billion Days sale, the iPhone 16 is available at a 35 percent discount from its launch price. The price of this phone on Flipkart is now 51 thousand 999 rupees.

Even though Apple has shifted its manufacturing facility to India earlier this year yet somehow it did not bring any significant change to latest iPhone price.
