August 25, Monday: Samsung's much-awaited One UI 8 update, is finally getting released on certain Galaxy phones. Digit.in reports that the update has already been pre-installed in its latest foldables, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7.
At the moment, the fifth beta update of One UI 8 goes live for Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra users in markets such as India, Germany, the UK, and the USA. The Galaxy S24 series has been added to the beta testing phase as well.
While Samsung hasn't announced a formal release date, Digit.in pointed out leaks indicate the Galaxy S25 series can get the stable version first, possibly early next month. Galaxy S24 lineup and foldables such as Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 will then follow, and additional Galaxy S, A, and M series devices will get the update by the end of the year.
One UI 8 guarantees better performance and customized options
Based on information provided by Digit.in, the update will be deployed to a wide array of devices such as Galaxy S25, S24, S23, and S22 series, foldables such as Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5, tablets from the Galaxy Tab S10, S9, and S8 series, as well as mid-range phones like the Galaxy A55 and A35.
The major features of One UI 8 are dynamic wallpapers, enhanced multitasking, updated Quick Share, and group audio sessions using Auracast Audio Sharing. More security and personal recommendations to enhance Galaxy experience will be offered to users as well.
