TVS Motor Company, well known for its prowess and performance bikes, is set to introduce the RTX 300. The bike is scheduled to launch on 15 October 2025. It is the company's first entry into the adventure-tourer segment.
Design & Chassis
The images and leaked test clips have shown that the motorcycle is built for both highway and rougher terrains. The RTX 300 sports have a semi-faired body with a tall windscreen, muscular tank styling, split seats, and a compact tail section with provision for saddle space. Its frame reportedly employs a trellis frame architecture with a bolt-on rear subframe, which is suspended by the upside-down front forks and a monoshock at the rear. The model comprises a wheel setup of 19-inch front and 17-inch rear, pushing toward stability and confidence on rough surfaces.
Powertrain & Features
The bike is expected to be powered by TVS’s new RT-XD4 299 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. The reports indicate that the power output will be somewhere in the ballpark of 35 hp coupled with 28.5 Nm of torque. A 6-speed gear transmission will possibly come with a slipper clutch might be standard. TVS’s ambitions make the riders expect a feature list that might turn out to be more expansive than mere basics. The ride modes, traction control, dual-channel ABS, ride-by-wire throttle, TFT display with connectivity, and LED lighting are all potential expectations that might accompany the bike.
Market Position & Rivalry
The RTX 300 looks forward to being a flourishing mid-capacity adventure bike with a sweet spot above 250s but below bulky 450+ machines. The prices are expected to stay between ₹ 2,60,000 – ₹ 2,90,000 (ex-showroom). Its segment rivals include the KTM 250 Adventure, Hero Xpulse (future variants), older Royal Enfield Himalayan 411, and perhaps more premium machines if TVS revolutionises alternative variants in the future.
TVS appears to be set to make a significant statement in India’s adventure-bike landscape. The RTX 300 ticks many of the expected checkboxes of being equipped with a modern engine, a capable chassis, and ambitious electronics. The execution will be everything. It would provide ride quality, reliability, and service reach. The final pricing will specify whether TVS can convert the excitement into real sales.
