Forget spending ₹40,000–₹60,000 on a new PC now. Reliance Jio’s JioPC is here and it wants to turn your existing screen into a personal computer by simply connecting it to the Jio Set-Top Box. For students, remote workers and budget users, this cloud-based setup promises a full desktop experience without investing in actual hardware.
What is JioPC?
JioPC is a subscription-based cloud computer that runs through the Jio Set-Top Box. Once a keyboard, mouse and display are plugged in, users get a Windows-style interface that boots instantly and doesn’t slow down over time. Since the processing is done at the server level, there is no need for upgrades, antivirus or maintenance.
The service is exclusive to JioFiber and Jio AirFiber customers and includes 512GB cloud storage, Adobe Express access, and essential tools for work and study.
Features and pricing
JioPC follows a pay-as-you-go model, starting at ₹599 + GST per month. All plans offer:
- 8GB RAM performance output
- 100GB cloud storage
- Unlimited usage within plan validity
- Network-level security
- Adobe Express Premium
- Jio Workspace and browser-based MS Office
Longer-duration packs come with bonus months, with the annual plan offering the highest savings.
Why it matters
For many Indian families, students and freelancers, buying a personal computer is still a financial stretch. JioPC positions itself as a practical alternative with no upfront cost, no repairs, no slow hardware. Coaching centres, cyber classrooms and small businesses also stand to benefit, especially in smaller cities where device-sharing is still common.
