A post has been going viral on X (formerly Twitter) where a user named Sonu has been seen complaining about other passengers blocking the door to the bathroom of a train's reserved coach. The user mentioned in the post that his aunt, whose PNR No. 6822107994, had been travelling in the 2nd AC coach of train No. 13206.
His aunt, along with a pregnant lady, was unable to use the train's bathroom as unauthorised passengers boarded the train's 2nd AC compartment and were sitting in front of the entrance to the bathroom, blocking it.
The user requested the Ministry of Railways, IRCTC, and Railway Seva to look into the matter, clearing the passage, and ensuring the safety of the reserved passengers.
The post reads, "My aunty is travelling in Train No. 13206 | PNR: 6822107994 | 2nd AC. @RailMinIndia @IRCTCofficial @RailwaySeva A pregnant lady and my aunt are unable to go to the bathroom as unauthorized passengers are sitting at the coach gate and have blocked the way. Please take immediate action to clear the passage and ensure safety of reserved passengers."
Netizens angry on Railways
One user wrote in the comment section saying "Such is the condition of Indian Railways that a pregnant woman is facing so many problems going to the bathroom that someone had to post it on social media, asking for help."
Another user added that "rail Minister distributing blankets for photo op, @AshuwiniVaishnaw this is the reality of Railways. Vande Bharat all show. Toilets at stations a disaster in trains worse. Ticketlss travel is the norm. TC n RPF all useless. Cant blame them brute majority prevails."
Also, another user tried drawing a comparison, saying, "If the condition of the 2nd AC is like this, then just imagine the condition of the 3rd AC, sleeper, and general compartments."
Resolution
Later, Railway Seva reached out to the user and commented, "We request you to please share Mobile No. with us preferably via DM so that immediate action can be taken on your complaint. You may also raise your concern directly on RailMadad WhatsApp Bot api.whatsapp.com/send/?phone=91"
In the end, the user shared his gratitude, commenting, "Thank you @RailMinIndia @RailwaySeva team and @RPF_India for taking prompt action and resolving the issue."
