A British family touring across India went viral on Instagram, sharing their pleasant experience of travelling on board the Vande Bharat Express. The Hutchinson family of five parents with their three daughters posted a cheerful video on Instagram about their four-hour journey; it drew praise from viewers in India and abroad.
Pleasant surprise at the price and service
In the viral clip, the family is seen getting comfortable in their seats as they explore the complimentary on-board snacks. Surprised by the ticket cost, the mother exclaims, " These tickets actually cost us about 11 pounds each for four of us, and it comes with food. The girls have got their food already."

The meal plate included a mix of Indian and light snacks- a diet mixture, caramel popcorn, a patty, mango juice, and a ginger tea sachet. As they did their food review, they confessed that they were not sure what to expect from Indian train meals. “India train food! What did you expect? We were confused with the chai powder, but then hot water arrived, and it was so delicious,” the family captioned their post. The mother added excitedly, “It’s really nice… it smells delicious too. Wow.”
