Prince William has appeared in a new episode of The Reluctant Traveller, the Apple TV series hosted by Canadian comedian and actor Eugene Levy, where he opened up about his family’s hardships while sharing a pint in a local pub.

In a newly released clip from the show, which premieres on October 3, Levy is first seen arriving at Windsor Castle after receiving a handwritten invitation from the Prince of Wales himself.

William then personally greets the Schitt’s Creek star and shows him around the historic residence. “We provide this service for everyone. We do personalised tours everywhere,” William jokes. The two then enjoy a walk through the castle’s scenic grounds before heading into town for a more relaxed chat over drinks.

Notably, both King Charles III and Kate Middleton were diagnosed with cancer within weeks of each other earlier this year.

William details the Royal family's 'brutal' health struggle

“I'd say 2024 was the hardest year I've ever had. You know, life is sent to test us as well, and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are,” William expressed.

During a solo trip to South Africa in November, the Prince of Wales acknowledged the emotional toll of his wife’s and father’s illnesses. At the time, he said: “Honestly? It's been dreadful. It's probably been the hardest year in my life.”

“So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult. But I'm so proud of my wife, I'm proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done. But from a personal family point of view, it's been brutal.”

“I couldn't be less relaxed this year. It's more a case of just crack on and you've got to keep going. I enjoy my work and I enjoy pacing myself and keeping sure that I have got time for my family too,” the future monarch admitted.

Levy’s series, The Reluctant Traveller’s second season, will take him across countries including Canada, the US, Austria, England, India, Ireland, Mexico, and South Korea. Along the way, he meets an eclectic range of guests such as Canadian singer Michael Bublé, his own daughter and fellow actor Sarah Levy, K-pop group NOWZ, and even Indian cricket legend Rahul Dravid.
