A knife attack has occurred in Manchester, UK. The attacker stabbed indiscriminately. Two people have been killed, and at least three others have been wounded. The police have also shot and killed the alleged attacker. The attack occurred on Thursday in front of a synagogue, a place of Jewish worship in Manchester. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and King Charles III have both condemned the attack. The local police have characterized the attack as a "terrorist incident."

It is known that Thursday marked the sacred day of Yom Kippur for Jews. It was during this time that the attack occurred in front of the Jewish place of worship in Manchester. Suddenly, an individual infiltrated the crowd. He began stabbing people indiscriminately. Panic ensued among those present as they scrambled to save their lives. Upon receiving the news, the Greater Manchester Police arrived at the scene. They attempted to disarm the attacker. One person, suspected to be the assailant, was shot.

The police have reported that five people were injured in the attack. Two of them succumbed to their injuries while under medical care. The suspected attacker was also brought to the hospital in an injured state. He, too, died there. The motive behind this attack remains unclear. The police have initiated a thorough investigation into the entire incident. However, the police are viewing this attack as an act of terrorism.

Immediately following the attack, security has been heightened in front of all synagogues across Britain. The Prime Minister stated that additional police have been deployed at these locations. He wrote on social media, “The fact that this has taken place on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, makes it all the more horrific”.
