September has officially arrived, ushering in the back-to-school rush, pumpkin-spice everything, and the start of fall festivities.Federal holidays, religious holidays, and odd celebrations are all over and there are just four months of the year left.
This is followed by Labor Day, the best event of September, which leaves many Americans with a long weekend to unwind. This year, Labor Day comes on Monday, Sept. 4, and it is regarded as a federal holiday.
The Office of Personnel Management has recognised 12 federal holidays in 2025, including Labor Day.
Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 13, will be the next federal holiday, though numerous states also celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Monday, Oct. 1.
September is also the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, which spans from September 15th to October 15th and is founded on the contributions of the Hispanic and Latino communities around the States.
