Temperature likely to rise after Sunday, winter atmosphere continues in the state for now

According to weather office sources, there is no possibility of any special change in the weather till next Saturday

The winter breeze continues to approach. On Friday, Kolkata recorded the minimum temperature to be hovering around 17 degrees Celsius. The Alipore weather department reports that cold winds are entering freely in the state. With no western disturbance or low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal, there is no obstruction in the way of norther winds. Light fog is being observed in most districts during morning hours. Coastal districts and hilly areas of North Bengal have a relatively higher possibility of fog. However, visibility will increase as the day progresses.

According to weather office sources, there is no possibility of any significant weather change until next Saturday. The mercury may rise slightly from Sunday. Warm easterly winds may blow in several districts of South Bengal. Due to this, temperatures may increase by two to three degrees in multiple districts between Sunday and Tuesday.

North Bengal will remain dry for now. There is no possibility of rainfall. Temperatures may drop by two to three degrees Celsius below normal. The winter atmosphere will persist for the next six to seven days. There is no possibility of any major temperature change.

On Friday, Kolkata's maximum temperature may remain around 28℃ and the minimum temperature may reach as low as 17℃. On Thursday, Kolkata's maximum temperature was 27.7℃, which was 2.9℃ below normal, and on Friday morning, Kolkata's minimum temperature was 17.1℃, which was 3.2℃ below normal. On this day, the humidity in the air was a maximum of 91% and a minimum of 41%.
