The Bidhannagar Cyber Crime Police have arrested a man for allegedly posting obscene pictures on social media. The accused has been identified as Pintu Das. He was arrested by the Bidhannagar Cyber Crime Police Station from the Deganga area of North 24 Parganas.
According to police sources, a woman from Salt Lake had lodged a complaint in September this year, alleging that her private photos were being circulated online. Investigations revealed that the images were uploaded by her husband, Pintu Das, with whom she has been involved in an ongoing divorce case.

Police stated that Pintu had married his former girlfriend three years ago and had stored several obscene pictures of her on his mobile phone. Over time, disputes arose between the couple, and then the woman accused Pintu of domestic violence.
Following the complaint, officers from the Bidhannagar Cyber Crime Police Station tracked and arrested Pintu Das from Deganga. He was produced before the Bidhannagar Sub-Divisional Court on Wednesday.
