On October 13, the monsoon officially bid farewell to West Bengal. Meanwhile, the European Union's 'Weather Forecasting System' (WFS) has claimed that around 3 AM on October 25, a very powerful low pressure will form in the Bay of Bengal near Indira Point in the South Andaman Sea. The low pressure will gradually collect water vapor over the Andaman Sea and move towards the Indian mainland. On the morning of October 27, the low pressure will approach the Tamil Nadu coast. After that, it may move through Tamil Nadu westward along the Puducherry coast towards the Arabian Sea. Alternatively, it may also strike near the Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts along the Bay of Bengal from the Tamil Nadu coast.

However, if this low pressure moves towards the Arabian Sea via the Puducherry coast, it will be good for Bengal. Because the low pressure will pull all the surrounding water vapor towards itself. As a result, Bengal's sky will remain completely cloud-free and sparkling. The amount of water vapor in the air will decrease. A clear hint of winter will be felt in Bengal.

How will the weather be in North and South Bengal?

There is no possibility of significant rainfall in Bengal for the next 5-7 days. According to the weather department's forecast, there is no possibility of significant rainfall in most districts of North Bengal and South Bengal on Tuesday. However, light to moderate rainfall may occur in North and South 24 Parganas and both Medinipur districts. Along with this, gusty winds may blow at a speed of 30-40 kilometers per hour. Besides this, Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly and Jhargram may get wet with light to moderate rainfall. The weather department has informed that the temperature in the western districts will drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next few days.

How will the weather be in Kolkata?

The weather is expected to change in the coming days. On Tuesday, the temperature in Kolkata will remain between 23-24 degrees Celsius. However, the weather department has informed that winter will not set in properly in Kolkata until the temperature reaches around 15 degrees Celsius.

From Tuesday until Kali Puja, there is no forecast of significant rainfall anywhere in the state. As soon as the monsoon departed, the amount of water vapor in the air has started decreasing. There may be light fog in some districts during dawn. The temperature will rise as the day progresses.
