Missing for two days, youth's body recovered from canal in South 24 Pargana

The youth's family claims that he was killed, not an accident.

After being missing for two days, a young man's body was recovered from a canal. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning in Baruipur, South 24 Parganas. According to police sources, the deceased young man's name is Firoz Laskar (29). Resident of Faridpur Laskarparah in Mallikpur under Baruipur police station.

According to family sources, Firoz used to work as a hawker at Sonarpur Station. He had left for work on Sunday as well. The family claims that he later called home, informing them that he would be late returning at night. The family claims that he had left on a bike with a friend named Aftab. The family could not contact him after Sunday night.

Following this, a complaint was filed with the police by the family on Monday afternoon. Based on the complaint, the police has started an investigation. On Tuesday morning, police recovered his body from Katakahal in the Akna area of Baruipur. The family claims that Firoz was murdered in a planned manner. They claim that Firoz's friend Aftab is involved in this incident. Police said that Firoz's body has been recovered and sent for post-mortem examination. Police are investigating whether it was actually murder or if Firoz's death occurred due to an accident.
