The Election Commission has not published any notification regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bengal. However, various district administrations have decided to start training Booth Level Officers (BLOs) from tomorrow, Monday, as per the instructions of the state's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Manoj Agarwal. This training will continue for two days.

The CEO office believes that the Commission may publish the notification for 'SIR' for the state by next week. Along with BLO training, the Commission is appointing volunteers this time to help voters as per the Commission's instructions. Only teachers or employees permanently working in government departments will be appointed for this position.

They will assist the BLOs in their work. These volunteers will mainly help voters fill out the enumeration forms distributed by the BLOs. BDOs in each block have already started preparing the list of these volunteers.
