The written examinations for teacher recruitment in classes IX-X and XI-XII by the School Service Commission (SSC) were completed last month. However, the controversy over the publication of the list of so-called 'ineligible' or 'tainted' teachers from the 2016 SSC examination continues. Despite Supreme Court directives, cases have repeatedly been filed in the apex court.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday again expressed dissatisfaction over the non-publication of a detailed list of 'tainted ineligible' candidates. The bench of Justice Sanjay Kumar and Justice Alok Aradhe questioned SSC counsel Kalyan Bandyopadhyay, why SSC hasn't published the list of names of ineligible candidates whose SSC jobs were cancelled even after the apex court's directive.

The bench stated that the list of 'tainted ineligible' candidates is unclear. Justice Sanjay Kumar stated that the list must be published in detail and should contain detailed information based on subjects and reservations. SSC counsel Kalyan and senior counsel Kapil Sibal, representing the state, informed that the list of names of 'tainted ineligible' candidates has already been published and all names are included there. In response, Justice Kumar instructed not to keep anything secret.

Justice Kuma also ordered to publish the list of tainted-ineligible candidates again with detailed specifications. Otherwise, complications will arise over this matter, as someone may again come to court with something else.

Kalyan and Sibal argued in court that SSC has cancelled the admit cards of 'ineligible' candidates. They were not allowed to sit for the School Service Commission recruitment examination. In this case, the apex court has repeatedly made it clear that it must be ensured that 'tainted' or 'ineligible' candidates are not given any opportunity in the new recruitment process. The bench conveyed the same message on this day as well.

Kalyan informed that following the court's directive, recruitment examinations for SSC teacher posts in classes IX-X and XI-XII were conducted properly on September 7 and 14. Copies of OMR sheets were also handed over to candidates. Model answer sheets have also been published on the website. They are trying to publish the results of this examination by the first week of November. Justice Kumar stated that everyone's name must be mentioned in the merit list. The next hearing of this case will be on November 24.

Following the Supreme Court's directive, examinations for teacher recruitment in SSC classes IX-X and XII-XI were held last September. On Wednesday, SSC informed the court that it is trying to publish the results in the first week of November. The court has given its permission.
