The Indian Embassy in Riyadh organised a musical presentation, ‘Gita Mahotsav - A Musical Presentation’, to celebrate the successful conclusion of the Pravasi Parichay 2025 series. The musical evening presented the eternal lessons from the Bhagavad Gita and paid homage to ancient Indian civilisation and spiritual heritage.
The evening began with a video message from the Hon'ble Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, and other dignitaries, who sent their greetings and best wishes on the occasion. His words set the tone of soulfulness for an evening that combined devotion, music, and culture in a harmonious union.

A soulful evening filled with devotion and dance
Adding to the enchantment, students of Vaidehi Dance School, Riyadh, presented a mesmerising musical performance that left the audience spellbound. With graceful movements and expressive choreography, they brought alive the verses and their wisdom of the Gita.
Speaking on the occasion, Indian Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan praised the event as a meaningful initiative that connects the Indian diaspora with their spiritual and cultural roots. He said that the Gita Mahotsav is “an endeavour to highlight the deep cultural and spiritual bonds that connect the Indian diaspora with India’s civilizational heritage, and to inspire reflection on the message of harmony, duty, and selfless action that the Gita embodies” he said, commending the efforts of the performers and organisers.
Dr. Khan further shared that the Riyadh edition of the Gita Mahotsav draws inspiration from the International Gita Mahotsav that will be held later this month in Kurukshetra, Haryana.

The evening also saw the distinguished presence of Padma Shri awardee and Sangeet Natak Akademi laureate Prathibha Prahlad, whose participation added depth and prestige to the celebration.
More than a cultural event, the Gita Mahotsav in Riyadh stood as a bridge between tradition and contemporary expression, uniting the diaspora through art, devotion, and the eternal message of the Gita.
