Prince Harry believes he is effectively “untouchable” despite making jokes about former US President Donald Trump, a royal commentator has claimed, pointing to the Duke of Sussex’s strained family ties and mindset in recent years.

Royal expert Neil Sean, speaking on his Daily News Headlines YouTube vlog, said sources familiar with Harry’s life in Montecito allege that the prince feels insulated from consequences even when commenting on powerful political figures.

‘Untouchable’ mindset and loneliness, says expert

According to Sean, Prince Harry is seen by those around him as “the more friendly one” between himself and Meghan Markle, but also as “a very lonely person” searching for connection. Sean attributed this loneliness to Harry’s fractured relationship with King Charles and his long-running rift with Prince William, with whom he is reportedly no longer in contact.

Despite this, Sean suggested that Harry’s public remarks and behaviour are often driven by a desire to provoke his elder brother. “A lot of what he does publicly seems designed to get a reaction,” Sean said, adding that resentment toward Prince William appears to underlie many of his actions.

Why Harry believes Trump won’t retaliate

Addressing Harry’s recent jokes about Donald Trump, Sean said sources claim the duke believes influential figures like Trump would avoid targeting him directly. The reasoning, according to the commentator, is Harry’s assumption that Trump would not want to damage relations with the British royal family, particularly King Charles and Prince William.

Sean described this attitude as a “free-for-all” approach to life, arguing that Harry appears to believe he can act without consequence. “He seems to feel there are no real rules for him anymore,” Sean said, calling it a serious error in judgment that could place the monarchy in an awkward position.

Public reaction

The remarks have sparked strong reactions online. In the comments section of Sean’s video, some viewers expressed frustration, with one writing, “I’d love to see President Trump release every document the US has regarding Harry and Meghan.”

Prince Harry has not responded publicly to the claims, and there has been no official comment from Buckingham Palace or representatives of Donald Trump.
