Elon Musk declared yesterday, October 25, that Grok AI now has a ‘Kids Mode’ as xAl introduced a new feature. Grok Kids Mode is now available to users by selecting 'Kids Mode' in Settings. To access the kid-friendly version, users must activate the mode. Additionally, users can create a password in the Lock Kids mode. Elon Musk shared the information on X, “Grok now includes a kids mode.”
Children can produce longer videos and use the AI for different purposes. Elon Musk also reposted a video of a user posted on X, which was created by Grok Imagine. "Made with Grok Imagine"
In this scenario, after the announcement, Elon Musk disparages in a mocking tone, and writes on X that, “A friend of mine just pointed out that Grok 'kids mode' has exactly the same settings as what companies demand for ‘enterprise mode’, We have indeed infantilized businesses in modern society.”
Netizens are divided as a result of this tweet; and they also object to the idea of kids using AI.
Even if it's a kid-friendly version and specifically curated for the kids, the last X post about corporate culture sparked a public backlash. While some people agree with the statement, some defend it.

One user wrote, “So true, Half of corporate life feels like adult daycare with email privileges.” Another user wrote, “It was exposed when men started dressing like 6th graders: sneakers and shirt tails out etc.” Another user supported the statement and made fun of the culture, “Funny thing is… he’s not wrong. Corporate “enterprise mode” is just “kids mode” with suits on.No risk, no thinking, just endless approvals and fake safety nets.Grok just exposed the infantilization of the modern workplace.”
Another person wrote to defend, “Remember Google, Microsoft and Meta HQ?’, Another one mocked and wrote in that thread, “Next update: Grok introduces ‘HR Mode’ ....it just stares at you until you apologize.”
In contrary of these comments, one user objected to the idea of kids accessing AI and wrote, “Good to have safety in mind, but I think there should be a separate Grok Kids app that is rated 12+ while Grok should be 17+ per iOS policy of content regarding documented 18+ companions and modes. Plus content even with kids mode on is still possible to generate harmful images.”
