CM Mamata gifts journalists her collection of poems on SIR
As Mamata Banerjee got ready to speak to the media in New Delhi on Tuesday, she brought a gift for the journalists present. It was a collection of her poems about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), which she calls the "spirit of resistance". These poems were originally written in Bangla and have been translated into English. They are published as SIR: 26 in ’26 by BEE Books, based in Kolkata. Trinamool Congress leaders said Banerjee wrote the poems between January 4 and January 9.
