Bomb scare strikes again at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. On Tuesday morning, the airport received a threatening email claiming there was a bomb on an American-bound flight. The email demanded one million dollars (more than approximately ₹8 crore in Indian currency), threatening that the explosive placed on the aircraft would not be deactivated unless the payment was made. This led to panic spreading throughout the airport.
According to sources, as soon as the threatening email surfaced, CISF and airport security personnel quickly sprang into action. Searches were conducted at the airport terminal, cargo area, parking zone, and all international flights. Passenger security was also thoroughly examined. This caused delays in the takeoff and landing of several flights.

Airport police have already filed a case, prompting an investigation. The cybercrime team has been deployed to verify the source and authenticity of the email. They are trying to determine whether this is a terrorist threat or part of a deliberately spread false message.
Airport authorities have stated that the email is suspected to have been sent by 'Jasper', a resident of America. However, nothing suspicious was found at the airport. Security has been further strengthened in sensitive areas across the airport.
Earlier this year, multiple bomb threat scares were made at Hyderabad airport in the month of November and December. Following that, Tuesday's bomb scare incident has once again increased concerns.
