IndiGo has restored more than 1,800 flights, connecting its entire network that had been disrupted for several days. On Wednesday, the airline operated around 1,650 flights, an apparently significant improvement in schedule reliability.

Refunds and passenger support

According to the report by the Hindustan Times, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has said that the airline has returned Rs 827 crore so far for cancellations till December 15, and the rest are being processed. Help has also been provided to stranded passengers, including arranging over 9,500 hotel rooms and around 10,000 cabs and buses. IndiGo delivered more than 4,500 delayed bags between December 1 and 7 and hopes to complete the remaining within 36 hours.

Presently, the airline is supporting over two lakh customers every day across its support channels to ensure timely information and assistance for passengers.

Advance notice of cancellations

As per the report, IndiGo also pointed out that cancellations shown in today's schedule were actually done a day earlier, ensuring that passengers got their notifications well in time. The airline reiterated its apology for the disruptions and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the travellers.
