BPSC AEDO recruitment 2025 registration reopens: Here are everything you need to know

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has reopened applications for the 2025 Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) recruitment due to an overwhelming initial response.

The online application window for the 2025 Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) recruitment of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has been reopened. The candidates who had missed the registration earlier can apply from 5th December to 12th December.

BPSC AEDO 2025: Vacancy, eligibility, and pay

The recruitment is for a total of 935 vacancies for the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) post. The posts carry a standard Level-5 pay scale as per state government norms. Eligibility criteria for age, educational qualification, and category-wise reservation must be met by the aspiring candidates. As per state government norms, the posts carry a standard Level-5 pay scale. The total vacancies can be divided into the categories of Unreserved 374, Economically Weaker Section 93, Scheduled Caste 150, Scheduled Tribe 10, Economically Backward Classes 168, Backward Classes 112, and Backward Classes-Women 28. The total vacancies amount to 935.

Key eligibility and pay details

The candidate must have a bachelor's degree from a recognised university. The age limit shall be a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 37 years for UR males (relaxations applicable for other categories). The pay scale will be level 5, which will start at ₹29,200 (subject to revision).

Required Documents

The applicants must ensure accuracy in their details and follow the prescribed format. The key documents needed for the candidates to upload include a recent passport-size photograph, scanned signature, educational certificates (Class 10, Class 12, and graduation), category certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (for PwD candidates), and domicile certificate (if required under category norms)

Steps to apply

The candidates are advised to carefully check eligibility and upload the correct documents during registration and follow these steps for the application process. The candidate must visit the official BPSC website. The candidate must complete the online application form with personal and academic details. The candidate is required to upload the required documents. The candidates will be asked to pay the application fee (if applicable). Once all these steps are done properly, the candidate can apply for and retain confirmation

There has been a massive response in the first round of reopening the registration. There are approximately 9.7 lakh candidates who have applied for the 935 posts. The written examination will be conducted in multiple phases in January 2026. All eligibility criteria and application procedures remain unchanged as per BPSC. This is a final opportunity for aspirants to participate in one of the state's largest recruitment drives.
