The University of Delhi has invited its students to apply for the internship program called India–Japan Talent Bridge (IJTB), with the support of METI, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Coordinated by the Central Placement Cell within the Dean Students' Welfare Office, the initiative links Indian talent to Japan's vibrant tech and innovation scene.

Eligible students can register on the Talendy Job Portal to find an international internship and job opening with leading Japanese companies. The idea is to match skilled Indian students with the best opportunities in Japan's ecosystem.

What is the duration of internship?

The internship is for a period of two months, from May to July 2026. It will be mostly based in Japan, though online and offline options are available. Only the best performance may be provided with a pre-placement offer that might result in full-time positions with the organisations taking part in it.

In October 2025, Delhi University opened applications for the Vice-Chancellor’s Summer Internship and organised a job mela for students. On the other hand, proposals to introduce additional elective courses in the second semester of two-year post-grad programs in both Economics and History were under discussion in the Delhi University Standing Committee on Academic Matters. Amendments were sought because concerns had been raised over content and format.

Members raised objections to the Economics and Gender elective, stating that topics such as intimate partner violence, domestic violence, workplace violence, and crimes against women did not align with the discipline of economics. They also noted that some electives were not organised in chronological order, and overall, the content appeared inconsistent with the course title, Indian Express cited an official statement as saying.
