Eating 4-6 dates a day can help lose weight. Dates can be consumed in the morning alongside a cup of black coffee and in the evening with a cup of green or milk tea. This can result in a full stomach and prevent junk food cravings, said Dr Aashima Chopra, according to a Health Shots report.
In the winter months, dates can help strengthen the bones as they are packed with necessary nutrients and proteins. Selenium, manganese, copper, and magnesium, found in dates, can help prevent diseases like osteoporosis, Dr Chopra also added.
Natural sugar found in dates can cut down the winter sugar cravings and help retain body weight. Eating a couple of dates every day can fulfil the body's nutritional deficit, resulting in relieving stress.

Dates contain fibres that can improve gut health and overall digestion, giving relief from constipation. Dates also offer anti-ageing benefits with nutrients such as vitamin C & D.
Dr Chopra also highlighted, “The fibre in dates are good for blood sugar control, as it slows digestion and helps prevent blood sugar levels from spiking too high after eating. Adding dates to plain yoghurt may be of benefit, when it comes to glycemic control in diabetic patients.”
