Execution of Guy Fawkes (1606)

On January 31, 1606, Guy Fawkes was executed in London for his role in the Gunpowder Plot, a failed attempt to assassinate King James I and destroy the English Parliament. The plot’s exposure had a lasting impact on British political and religious history.

Battle of Stalingrad: German Surrender (1943)
