The full moon will occur at 5:03 a.m. EST, but for viewing purposes, the exact time is less critical, say skywatchers. The best sight usually happens at moonrise - when the moon rises low on the eastern horizon during twilight - which produces a striking visual effect.
Will it be visible in India?
Yes, the astronomical phenomenon will be visible in India. Skywatchers in India will be able to spot it soon after sunset, between 5:45 pm and 6:00 pm IST, when it will look brighter and slightly bigger than a regular full moon because of its closer approach to Earth.
The spectacle will be visible throughout the night, then set in the western sky early in the morning. One of the most striking lunar events of the year, it can be enjoyed easily with the naked eye, while cameras or telescopes can offer an even clearer view.

It is suggested to the observer to look in areas where there is a full view of the eastern horizon, such as hills or open fields. Though the moon is easily visible to the naked eye, it is possible to spot the details of the surface using binoculars.
