Akshay Kumar has made it absolutely clear that retiring from films is not an option despite him having been in the movie business for more than three decades and doing over 150 movies.

At the trailer launch event of Welcome To The Jungle, Akshay Kumar was asked if he had even once thought about retiring from films considering that he has been in this profession for 36 years now. According to the actor, the thought of retiring pops up in his head when he wakes up in the morning but soon enough, he realises that being part of films means reporting to a set and working among hundreds of people.

'Better to keep working'

During the interaction, Kumar joked that retirement would simply result in him being assigned household responsibilities

He said staying at home would likely see him taking on roles such as an electrician, gardener or dog walker, making work seem like the better option. The actor added that he has no intention of retiring and would rather continue working than remain idle.

Family didn't want him home for long

Kumar added that he had attempted taking a break to spend some time with his family before. But, as per the actor, the attempt turned out to be short-lived.
