The price of 24-carat gold had reached close to ₹1,30,000. On December 1, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold was ₹1,29,300. Since then, 24-carat gold prices have been hovering around the ₹1,28,000. However, on December 9, gold prices changed direction and started moving downwards. Compared to December 8, gold prices have fallen significantly on December 9.
Gold Prices
On Monday December 8, the price of 24-carat gold bar (retail) was ₹1,28,800 per 10 grams. On December 9, the price of that gold dropped to ₹1,27,800. This means the price of 10 grams of gold has decreased by ₹1,000 in one day.
On December 8, Monday, the price of 22-carat hallmark gold was ₹1,23,050 per 10 grams. On December 9, the price of that gold came down to ₹1,22,100. This means the price of 10 grams of gold has decreased by ₹950 in one day.

Silver Prices
Not only gold, but silver prices have also decreased. On 8 December, the price (retail) for 1 kg silver bar was ₹1,79,550. On December 9, that price became ₹1,79,050.
