Actor Celina Jaitly files a domestic violence case against Peter Haag in Mumbai on. Jeitly was married to Peter Haag in 2011 and has three boys together. The complaint mentioned that the actress “has been subjected to continuous acts of domestic violence at his hands.”
Last year, Celine wrote in an Instagram post on their anniversary that reads, "14 years ago today @haag.peter flew down to #mumbai for 8 hours only ( he had an important meeting the next day) to meet my father and mother. I did not know he asked for their permission to propose to me… That very same night before departure he proposed to me with a ring at the @itcmaratha BOMBAY HIGH at 8.10 PM in evening, the very same spot where my mother had told me two years before as I sat broken hearted with her talking about my fears of not meeting the “one”. "
According to the TOI report, Celina was represented by a legal team from Karanjawala & Co. The matter was brought before the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Andheri, SC Tadye. Where the magistrate has issued the next date for the hearing on 12 December, after verifying the complaint against Peter Haag.
The pleas also outlined, “After marriage, the complainant worked intermittently till she had children, after which the respondent (husband) prohibited her from working on various pretexts and robbed her of her financial independence and dignity.”
Peter Haag is a 48-year-old Australian entrepreneur and hotelier. Who has been allegedly abusing his three children's mother emotionally, verbally and financially. Where has allegedly been called his “maidservant”. She also had been told that she “looked like his maid” or “people would mistake her for the help,” as per the TOI report.
In the plea, ₹50 crore has been sought as compensation, ₹10 lakh monthly maintenance, along with telephonic and virtual access to her children. The children are in the custody of Peter Haag and are currently residing in Australia.
