SRK pays tribute to 'He-Man' Dharmendra, here's what the Badshah of Bollywood wrote on social media

Bollywood's Badshah expressed his gratitude to Dharmendra for his blessings, love and his guidance.

Bollywood's legendary actor Dharmendra passed away weeks after being sent home following weeks of staying admitted at the hospital. He took his final breath on Monday, 24 November 2025. The veteran actor’s death came just weeks before he would have turned 90. The news of his demise has left his fans and the film fraternity in a state of grief.

King Khan's tribute to Bollywood's 'He-Man'

While everyone is mourning the legend's demise, Bollywood's King Shah Rukh Khan expressed his heartfelt tribute through a post on his social media account. In the Facebook post, Bollywood's Badshah expressed his gratitude to Dharmendra for his blessings, love and his guidance.

"Rest in Peace Dharam ji. You were nothing short of a father figure to me… thank u for showering me with blessings and love the way you did. An inconsolable and irreplaceable loss to not just his family, but to cinema and film lovers world over. You are immortal… and your soul will live through your films and your beautiful family forever. Love you always," wrote SRK.

Earlier that day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his condolences along with the film industry fraternity. The PM stated in his post that the passing of Dharmendra Ji marks the end of an era in Indian cinema. A phenomenal actor who brought charm and depth to every role he played. The manner in which he played diverse roles struck a chord with countless people. Dharmendra Ji was equally admired for his simplicity, humility and warmth.

Dharmendra became a prominent name in the Hindi film industry for his back-to-back hit films from the late 1960s to the 1980s. He was named one of the most commercially successful stars and holding the record for appearing in the most number of successful films in Indian cinema. During the span of his film career, Dharmendra starred in a total of 300 movies.
