South actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda were officially married in a private ceremony in Udaipur, surrounded by close friends and family. After the pair posted their first wedding photos on Instagram a few hours later, there was a huge internet reaction. Rashmika's post became the most popular image ever published on an Indian Instagram profile within just two days.
An Instagram post that set new records
On Thursday, the couple, fondly known as “Virosh,” shared a slide of pictures from their marriage ceremony, clearly showing Vijay by her side. This is the first time she acknowledged him as her husband in the caption. Fans were touched by the heartfelt message and candid photos, and many complimented the announcement's honesty and innocence.
It became the most liked Instagram photo ever published from an Indian account, with over 24 million likes by Saturday afternoon. Virat Kohli held the previous record. His post commemorating India's win at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup received 22.8 million likes. It is remarkable to note that Vijay's own wedding day post is also gaining massive traction, moving closer to the previous target of 18.8 million likes and counting.

The newlywed bride wrote in the caption, “Introducing to you now ‘My Husband’! Mr. Vijay Deverakonda!! The man who taught me what true love feels like, the man who showed me what being in peace feels like! The man who told me every day that dreaming big was absolutely ok and constantly reminded me I was capable of achieving much more than I could possibly think I ever could! The man who’s never stopped me from dancing like no one’s watching, the man who showed me travelling with friends is the best thing ever — and trust me, I could write a book on this man! I’ve become the woman I have always dreamt of being because you made her who she is today! I’ve truly been blessed!”
She ends the caption with, “Let’s have the bestestest life ever together.”

According to reports, Rashmika and Vijay grew close while co-starring in Dear Comrade and the 2018 film Geetha Govindam. Although there have been endless rumours about their relationship over the years, neither actor had publicly acknowledged it until now. Fans remained enthusiastic despite their silence.
Fans had even given the couple the nickname “Virosh” long before the formal announcement, combining Vijay's name with Rashmika's nickname, Roshu. The couple’s decision to make their relationship official has clearly struck an emotional chord with millions across the globe, as their wedding photographs now dominate social media feeds.
