Over the past six days, IndiGo's services were severely disrupted, causing extreme distress across the airline industry. Amid strong protests from passengers and a show-cause notice from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), on Sunday, IndiGo issued a statement. In which the low-cost carrier has claimed that 1500 flights are planned to operate throughout the day. The company claimed that 95% of services have been restored.

What exactly did IndiGo announce?
IndiGo also stated that more than 700 flights were operated to 113 destinations on Saturday. IndiGo also announced that 1500 flights will be operated by the end of Sunday. Alongside the restoration of 95% of flight services, the company also added that it has restored services on 135 out of 138 routes. The authorities apologised once again on this day.
DGCA had issued a show-cause notice to IndiGo CEO Peter Elbers on Saturday. It mentioned that IndiGo's services have recently faced massive disruptions. Passengers have had to bear the consequences. Creating unprecedented chaos around the entire flight network. Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu has also announced that a committee has been formed to investigate why this situation arose. That committee will examine the entire situation. Those who are responsible for the situation will have to pay the price, he had stated.
