The NIA has arrested another accused in connection with the car explosion in Delhi. The arrested person has been identified as a resident of Dhouj in Faridabad, Soyab. Soyab had given shelter and logistical support to the main accused, Umar, just before the blast. Investigators believe that questioning him might lead to further revelations about the blast.

The NIA team also visited Soyab's residence along with Mujammil. Investigation revealed that Mujammil had kept a grinder and portable stove at Soyab's house, which is suspected to have been used in making IED components. Soweib is reported to be a ward boy at a medical college.
So far, seven people have been arrested in connection with the Delhi blast. Besides Soyab, the others are:
Aamir Rashid Ali: Assisted in obtaining the vehicle used in the suicide bombing and played a key role as a co-conspirator.
Jasir Bilal Wani, alias Danish: He provided technical support, knowledge about drones and rockets, and acted as a co-conspirator.
Dr Mujammil Shaikh Ganai: One of the main accused led the planning of the explosion and handled the explosives.
Dr Adil Ahmed Rathore: Accused of providing logistical support to the perpetrators.
Dr Shahin Saeed: One of the prime accused, involved in the ‘white-collar’ module of the attack.

Mufti Irfan Ahmed Wagay: Allegedly gave several instructions and strategic help to the accused.
On the evening of November 10, a Hyundai i20 car exploded near Lal Kila in Delhi. The car was driven by Umar. Earlier in the afternoon, the vehicle entered a parking area near Lal Kila and remained there for nearly three hours. The explosion occurred when the car was leaving near Gate 1 of Lal Kila Metro. The incident is under investigation by the NIA. Soweib is expected to be presented in court, after which the NIA will take him into custody for questioning.
