IndiGo's flight services are in disarray. After a record number of flight cancellations on Thursday, the airline continued to provide poor service across the country on Friday as well. Millions of passengers are suffering due to this condition of the largest domestic airline by passenger count. No water, no food, and passengers' luggage piled up in heaps. In this situation, IndiGo has issued a statement apologising.
"We do deeply apologise and understand how difficult the past few days have been for many of you. While this will not get resolved overnight, we assure you that we will do everything in our capacity to help you in the meantime and to bring our operations back to normal at the earliest," the airline giant posted on X (formerly Twitter).

IndiGo promised to refund for flight cancellations
IndiGo has even announced that it is ready to provide full fare refunds for flight cancellations and delays over the next 10 days. "We will ensure that all refunds for your cancellations will be processed automatically to your mode of payment," they noted.
Passengers are distressed due to IndiGo's continuous flight disruptions. The company cancelled nearly 700 flights across the country on by Friday afternoon. More than 200 flights were cancelled from Delhi alone.
The airline has stated that they are making every effort to normalise the situation. At the same time, IndiGo has announced that all passengers affected by this problem will naturally receive full refunds for their ticket bookings. Passengers with IndiGo tickets between December 5 and 15 will receive full fare refunds if their flights are cancelled or schedules are changed.
The company noted that this crisis will not be resolved overnight. The airline has also promised to arrange hotel accommodation and meals for passengers stranded at airports. However, images of passenger distress tell a different story. Nevertheless, to avoid inconvenience, IndiGo has requested passengers not to come to the airport without checking flight times.

Our frontline staff and the entire team remained dedicated to restoring normal operations with responsibility, commitment and care and respect.
