Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Delhi on Thursday evening for a two-day visit to India. President Putin will be attending the 23rd India-Russia Summit. During their meeting, both leaders will be holding discussions regarding bilateral relations between India-Russia and trade. Ahead of all of that, the Russian President received the Bhagavad Gita as a gift from Modi. Modi announced on social media that a Russian version of the Bhagavad Gita has been presented to Putin. Now the question is, can the Gita be gifted to someone according to the scriptures? There is a clear mention of this matter in the Skanda Purana.
The glory of the Gita
Religious texts are extremely sacred in our society. The book considered most sacred in Hinduism is the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. The teachings of the Gita provide solutions to all our problems and answers to all questions. Just before the start of the Kurukshetra war, Lord Krishna recited the teachings of the Gita to Arjuna, who was hesitant about wielding weapons against his own relatives. Even after so many years, the advice of the Gita remains equally relevant in our lives.
