Besides, during winters, when you have a cold or cough, a good soup can be very soothing. But the soup should also be nutritious-something that keeps the body warm, provides essential nutrients, and fills the stomach. So, this is the perfect time to learn how to make spinach soup. Spinach is nutritious and delicious, and it's easily available in the market during this season. So, here's a quick and easy recipe for you.

Easy spinach soup recipe

Ingredients:

1 bunch of spinach

½ onion, chopped

1 tsp garlic, chopped

2 tbsp butter

2–3 cloves

1 bay leaf

½ cup milk

1 tsp fresh cream

Salt to taste

1 tsp black pepper powder

½ cup water

1 tsp cornflour

Method:

Heat butter in a pan; add the cloves and bay leaf to temper.

Add chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion starts to turn golden.

Mix in the spinach and cook for a minute. After that, transfer everything into a blender and blend until smooth.

Dissolve 1 tsp of cornflour in 1 cup of water.

In the pan, heat some butter again and add the paste of spinach. Mix the solution of cornflour and milk gradually in it, continuously stirring.

Add fresh cream, or you can use cheese instead. You can also add sautéed mushrooms or chicken at this stage if you like.

Let the soup simmer on low heat for 5–8 minutes.

Your warm, creamy spinach soup is ready to serve!
