Just three more days to wait. After that, Lionel Messi will set foot in Kolkata. From Salt Lake Stadium to Shribhumi Sporting Club, last-minute preparations are underway everywhere. Messi will also travel from Kolkata to Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad.
Though he will spend the least time in Kolkata in terms of schedule, the event here features various attractions. Messi's theme song has already emerged. The video of that song, composed by Arindam Chattopadhyay, captures the various frenzies of Kolkata football surrounding Messi. Various types of T-shirts with Messi's name have also hit the market.

Surprises of Messi's visit
Rabindra Sangeet has been blended with the tango dance of South American culture. Tollywood artists will perform this in front of Messi. Classical dancer Anushree Bandyopadhyay is in charge of this. Artists from Tollywood's film industry will also be present. Messi will participate in a coaching clinic with young footballers on the field. Later, he will watch the match between Mohun Bagan and Diamond Harbour. According to reports, the legend might even step onto the field to take a penalty kick or two.
The organisers claim ticket sales have been quite good. A significant number of tickets have been given to several corporations. The stadium is expected to be packed. Before leaving Kolkata, Messi will inaugurate his own statue at Shribhumi, where there is also a statue of Diego Maradona.
At one point, it was heard that Shah Rukh Khan might be present at the event with Messi in Kolkata. Inquiries were reportedly made from his office regarding this matter. But no confirmation has come on this issue so far. Most likely, the two legends, Messi and Shah Rukh, will not be seen together on the same stage in Kolkata.
